Fishing trips
Northern Zone of the Province of Chubut
With more than 800 kilometers of the Andes mountains and a wide range of tourist services for the fisherman, Chubut offers many
alternatives for the fly fisherman. The area offers a variety of geography, from the dry steps east of the mountains to lush
Patagonian forests.
The small populations of the area guarantees that you will go to places unchanged by man. The province of Chubut has two key
areas to realize your fly fishing dreams.
Rio Pico area south of Esquel
One of the most famous areas in Patagonia for it's quality of wild fish and good genetics is Rio Pico located 250 kilometers
south of Esquel. This is a farming and ranching area with about 1800 people living there. Here the fisherman can find tranquility
and choose from a variety of accommodations as well as many lakes and rivers to fish. We can stay in fishing lodges or cabins.
With a large quantity of lakes, rivers, ponds and streams, we can take you to some of the most famous waters in Patagonia where
you can fish for Rainbow, Brown and Brook Trout. In December you can also fish for the large Chinook salmon that enter the rivers
every year from the sea.
We can visit the well-known Corcovado river that originates in Lago Winter. Early and late in the fishing season you can fish for
huge Rainbow and Brook Trout that enter the river to spawn and eat the eggs of other spawning fish
